Dr. Dina Brooks Appointed New CIHR University Delegate

By

Congratulations to RSI’s very own Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Dina Brooks, who has agreed to take up the University of Toronto's CIHR Delegate effective July 1, 2017. With her research experience crossing the spectrum of clinical trials to animal model research, Dr. Brooks comes well qualified for this position. She is a full Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and the Canada Research Chair in Rehabilitation for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She holds research scientist appointments concurrently at the Heart and Stroke Foundation Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Rehabilitation Sciences Institute, and West Park Health Care Centre.

The University Delegates meet once a month via teleconference, and its mandate is to keep the health research community, within the university and its affiliated institutions, informed of CIHR's research directions, initiatives and decisions, and to solicit their active participation on awareness activities.

Way to go!
