RSI PhD Graduates Featured on Faces of U of T Medicine

Recent RSI graduates Janine Farragher, Teresa Valenzano, and Jing Shi are currently being featured on the Faculty of Medicine’s website as a part of the Faces of U of T Medicine series which profiles some of the interesting people studying in the Faculty of Medicine.

Janine Farragher is a PhD graduate at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the Faculty of Medicine who convocated on November 6, 2018. Her research focuses in discovering how rehabilitation approaches can affect the quality of life and participation of people living with chronic kidney disease and specifically developing and testing a fatigue management program - based on energy conservation principles - for people with kidney disease who are on long-term dialysis therapy.

Teresa Valenzano is a PhD graduate at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the Faculty of Medicine who convocated on November 6, 2018. Her research focuses on swallowing physiology in individuals with various neurological disorders, with a focus on understanding how function is impaired as a result of a neurological disorder and how this may relate to perceived quality of life.

Jing Shi is a PhD graduate at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the Faculty of Medicine who convocated on November 6, 2018. Her research focuses on understanding video game addiction better.
